The application stage

Shortlisting Stage

Shortlisted candidates are subjected to further screening which is usually CBT base test and their academic credentials are also reviewed.
Training Stage
Those who were successful at the screening stage are then trained and after the Nigerian Navy offers them an appointment and they resume duty.

Requirements for Nigerian Navy 2023/2024 Recruitment Exercise Portal 2023
1. Applicants must be Nigerian by birth.
2. The Applicant must have a means of identification like a national ID card or international passport
3. Applicant must have at least five (5) credits in either WAEC or GCE or NABTEB including English language and mathematics in not more than 2 sittings
4. Applicants should be between 18 to 22 years of age for SSCE holders.
5. Applicants must submit for NCE, OND, Diploma, and Nurse/ Midwifery, tradesmen should be between the age of 18 to 26 years.
6. Married individuals are not allowed to apply
